My family means the world to me. My siblings are truly my best friends, and growing up I wanted to do everything my older brother, Alec, was doing — including photography.

When I was 13, Alec started letting me come along to shoots. Afterward, he’d take me on little dinner dates to “thank” me for “helping” him. By the time I was 15, he sent me a link to a camera and told me to buy it… and just like that, Avery Hilliard Photography was born. Now you’ll often find Alec second shooting weddings with me — he’s still my biggest fan, and it feels like the sweetest full-circle moment.

I grew up in Texas, and I’ve always been amazed by the beauty God designed all around us — especially a Texas sunset. I’m the kind of person who will pause and watch the light peek through the trees, and that love for natural light is a huge part of my photography style. I want your photos to feel warm, timeless, and full of life.

And now, I get to say I’m a wife — I married my best friend, Caed. Becoming a bride myself gave me a whole new perspective on weddings. I understand the excitement leading up to the day, the nerves, the happy tears, and how quickly everything flies by. It made me realize even more that the little moments matter just as much as the big ones — the hand squeezes, the deep breaths, the quiet glances, and the kind of laughter you wish you could replay forever.
